Easter Sunday

We had a great weekend with most of our family to celebrate Easter.  We only were missing Birc's sister and her family, and my sister and Aaron.  With so many different people taking pictures, I've had a lot to sort through, but this still has the potential to be a long post! [ok, just finished, and it IS long. kudos if you make it to the end!]
Birc and I both had duties at church which required us to be there really early, so my parents came down and kept her and got her ready for church.
Then everyone got to church and all was going fine...
Then it all broke loose.
Savannah proceeded to scream through the whole service with Birc and CC in the "cry room" [which by the way is NOT sound proof] and I could hear her up in the choir loft but was trapped and could not do a thing.  It was terrible and I felt so bad for everyone.  I knew she had a bottle, plenty of diapers, changes of clothes, pacifiers, and so there was nothing I could do else for her.  But it still brought me to tears, I just felt so helpless and sad.

However, by the time we got her in the car to come home, she fell asleep [of course] from wearing herself out screaming and we had a great lunch at our house with everybody.  Then we tried to take pics of her with every combination possible and of her and her Easter basket.  The Easter Bunny brought her all sorts of goodies and even some candy for Birc and me! :)

CC made her beautiful dress, slip, and lace bonnet.  All SO beautiful and Savannah was the best dressed girl that day!

Anna and Aaron got her this precious bunny we are calling "Velvet" cause he looks like the Velveteen Rabbit!

Nana and Gran got her this adorable duck that sings and dances when you press his wing, and she thinks it is so great! I'll try to post a video of her laughing with it!

The Easter Bunny brought Savannah Make Way For Ducklings book, What Easter Is Really About book, an Easter plate, some new "grass" [bottle drying rack], a spare "Flopsy" [the bunny she has totally attached herself to and we are afraid to only have one!], some bowls for food, and some candy for her mama and daddy.  Velvet and Ducky are beside the basket as you can see below.  Lucky girl!
The oldest and the youngest! 92 years old and 4 months old!

We had a great day [except the screaming part] and I look forward to every time we get family together.  Hope you had a happy Easter too!

Easter Basket

We got SCM the cutest little Easter basket and I wanted to take a few shots of her with it before it got filled by the Easter Bunny Sunday morning.
Turns out she fits perfectly inside it!

What in the world, you crazy people!?!

That's better.  Standing is my position of choice these days.
Mama, you're so funny!

Gimme the basket! It needs to be chewed on!

What do you mean I can't chew on it?

Well in that case, let's go back inside! I'll get this basket, don't worry.

Easter Egg Hunt

Birc and I took Savannah to the St. James "Easter Eggstravaganza" on Saturday so she could meet the Easter Bunny.  We won't talk about what our Easter Bunny looked like, but I will say she was not old enough to be scared but next year she will be! hah! We had a great time and can't wait til she's running around next year hunting eggs with all the kids!

She looks thrilled, I know! :)

Happy 4 months, Savannah!

Can't believe my sweet girl is 4 MONTHS OLD! I see babies smaller than her now, and that is crazy cause I feel like I just had her in my belly!  Savannah went to see her uncle Aaron on her 4 month birthday and she weighed in at a whopping 13 pounds, 15 ounces, and was 2 feet tall exactly! Her head was 16 inches, and everything checked out great.  She is in the 50% for everything and Aaron said she looked super with all her milestones.  She has rolled over from belly to back lots and she can hold her head up and "swim" on the ground great, and she has become quite the talker this month.  She is still wearing a few 0-3 month things, but mostly 3-6 month clothes.  She's still in a size 2 diaper and has been wearing shoes a lot more.  Her colic is getting better slowly, but we still have days and evenings (and especially at church) where she just screams at the top of her lungs and we can do absolutely nothing to console her.  Which can be pretty embarrassing (I'm sure I'm only at the beginning of being embarrassed by my child).

The pictures above are probably the best ones we got! She was not into the photo session at all, so I'll choose some of the funnier outtakes for your enjoyment :)

Seriously? Not this again...

Daddy, can you save me??

No Daddy! You have a camera too??? Now I'm really in for it....

Panda, this cool dance move doesn't work unless you move your arms

Somebody out there get me outta here...please??

If I pull this sticker off and chew it up, this photo session has to be over! See ya!

Tummy time with CC

I so wish I was home to see my sweet girl and all her smiles, but at least CC gets them! Also, I think my pictures are smaller because I'm making these posts from Birc's phone and not my computer. Tummy time is quickly turning into rolling over practice as you can see. :)

Happy Palm Sunday!

Our sweet girl on her first Palm Sunday! She started the day at church in a sweet smocked dress, but these days anything she wears in the morning she poops on by noon! Hence the pics on the changing table. So she changed to pose with her palm branch (and mama's hair).
