Savannah is 18 months old! It is hard to believe! I thought I'd do a big update on Savannah and I had to wait until now to do it since her 18 month appointment with Aaron was this morning. Savannah is 24 pounds 11 ounces and 31 inches tall. She's just perfect says our doc! She got one shot and took it like a champ. She even let Aaron check her out with (almost) no crying at all!
Savannah just moved to size 4 diapers a week ago, and she wears a size 5 shoe and wears 18 month and 18-24 month clothing. She sleeps for about 12-13 hours every night, usually 8:30-8:30 or somewhere around there, and takes one nap after lunch that lasts anywhere from 1 to 2 hours.
I bribed her with mini chocolate bunnies (from her Easter basket, she still hasn't finished eating them) to take some pictures in her crib just like her monthly shots from birth to a year! You might see a little chocolate on her mouth. Don't judge. :) And for the record, they didn't help much. This child moves too fast to get a good picture.

She is drinking 2% cows milk and usually only drinks about 10 ounces per day. She is just not very thirsty. She also drinks water from time to time and has had orange juice a few times when she was sick and not having dairy. She eats a banana for breakfast every morning and then her class eats lunch at 10:45 (I know, it's crazy. On the weekends she eats lunch at about 12:15). She eats just about everything we feed her except vegetables and beef and fish. She eats a lot of turkey and cheese sandwiches, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, cheese slices and ham cubes on crackers, macaroni and cheese (or any yummy pasta-she loves alfredo), bread (we call all of it rolls because as her mother's and grandmother's child, she loves ROLLS!), yogurt, pizza, and fruit. The girl is a fruit-a-holic. She loves fresh apples, grapes, raspberries, blueberries, strawberries, mangoes, melons, watermelons, cantaloupe, kiwi, applesauce, and really any of those awesome portable kids pouches of apples and other fruits and veggies. We are going to go broke feeding this girl fresh fruit. Of course she eats tons of crackers (ra-ra) too: graham crackers, club crackers, saltines, ritz, animal crackers, gerber cheeto puffs, cheerios, and goldfish. She also samples just about everything we are eating and likes it about half the time. If it's beef or fish, it comes right out. :)

Savannah has 12 teeth and is currently cutting her top two eye teeth (cuspids?) which is real. fun. She's sleeping with a dose of tylenol every night. They've poked through already so hopefully the worst is over.
Savannah walks and runs everywhere. She's trying to jump but hasn't gotten both feet off the ground yet at the same time. She loves to bounce on anything. :)

She says tons of words, some of which I have to interpret for everyone else in the room, but some are really clear to understand. She knows where all of her body parts are, knows everybody's names in our families including the pets, and knows her animal noises, some colors, and sometimes shapes too. She is a mama's girl through and through. I hope she forgives me for having another baby. Hopefully she and baby #2 will be best friends so she won't be mad :) Savannah is still going to 'school' and has a new teacher for the summer, but is not going to the church nursery on Sundays to avoid getting sick. We are just keeping her with us and passing her around to whoever will walk her around. From Feb to April she had 5, at least, fever viruses... and we just can't afford to miss work and call on CC and Nana forever. So she is staying out the church nursery on Sundays until she can move up to the bigger kiddo class in August.

She has three attachment items for night-night time, her paci (which, yes, we are getting rid of next month), her Flopsy, and her blanket. The Christmas blanket that is pink with brown gingerbread men all over it. It was a gift and is cute for the holidays but seriously, she could have picked a cuter something to attach herself to :) She is a drama queen and very sassy sometimes, and will throw a tantrum if she can find any small reason to :) She is also very loving and sweet and just loves to BE with people. She is like her mama and does not like to be alone ever.
Savannah Cate is my little ray of sunshine and she makes every day fun for me. She brings so many smiles to me and to Birc and to everyone who sees her. She is such a blessing from God and I am so thankful for her.
