Mostly Pictures

I think I'm too weary to post an update but I will ask for more prayers for Walker.  He's taken several steps back and is back on oxygen, several medications, respiratory therapy, and I'm unable to hold him right now in order to limit stimulation.  Here's hoping he is about to make some progress and feel better.  Savannah is doing well, still pottying #2 in the potty a lot!  Birc and I are just stretched a little thin but there's no good answer as Savannah needs consistency with one of us with her in the evenings, and Walker needs one of us to visit so he can hear and learn our voices.  It's tough.  I can't wait to have what people keep telling me will happen: "you'll look back on this and see how far Walker has come and won't be able to remember all this after watching the healthy and spunky boy he grows into" or something like that.

My smarty-pants girl who will be a Razorback doctor who practices in the rain.  She's ready for that anyway. Hah!

One bit of excitement, we went to the Arkansas State Fair for a few hours this past weekend.  Savannah probably could have stayed a lot longer, but we ran out of cash and decided we had spent enough time and money.

Walker is smiling at his mama!

Dimple alert::

Savannah practicing her stellar dance moves.  She wants to be like Uncle Aaron.  Right Anna??!!

 A rare look at Walker on his back after a diaper change:

 My awesome work threw us a baby shower and we had the best time! I work with the sweetest and best people. They take great care of me and our family.

Have a good week everybody! It's birthday week for the Patterson girls! (really we stretch it to 2 weeks)

What's Been Going On...

First, Happy Birthday to my cousin Stephie and her husband, Robert, also! Hope you guys have had and continue to have a fun time celebrating!

Walker is still in the NICU, but he has moved all the way down to the last unit before discharge! (there are three units total) He just has the little feeding tube to get rid of and then he can come home.  We are going to start trying to breastfeed and take breastmilk through a bottle this week.  He's looking as handsome as ever and I am so proud of how fast he is doing things and just being a superstar stud.

Savannah has had a really big few days too! She turned 22 months old on Sunday! She also decided on Thursday night to go poo poo and tee tee on the potty! She asked to go so we put her on the potty and she went! Poo poo twice and tee tee once.  She was SO proud of herself! We really need to hone in on this desire she has but seriously it is THE worst timing ever, with Walker in the NICU.  I don't want to miss out on her wanting to get potty trained and then she changes her mind, but I don't know that I have the time or energy to tackle that right now.  I'll keep you posted.

Birc was in a wedding this weekend, so he was out a lot of the time, and I had a baby shower this weekend as well! We also had Wicked tickets for Sunday that we had gotten a long time ago, and decided to go ahead and go.  It made for a busy busy weekend and I didn't get as much time at the hospital as I have been previously so that was very hard.  We had Nana and Gran keep Savannah while we were at Wicked, and Anna and Aaron came over and kept Savannah while I went to the wedding that Birc was a groomsman in.  (and they cleaned the kitchen and worked on some other stuff too-thanks guys!)
