Fire Trucks!

We live very near a fire station so we hear fire trucks going by almost every day.  Savannah LOVES them!  She calls them dire tucks.  Anyway we were heading to go grocery shopping and a local restaurant was smoking and it only took a second and we heard the sirens! She got SO excited and was yelling, "dire tucks! dire tucks!" so we sat in the parking lot and waited for them and then watched the firemen for a minute before going to the store.  Savannah thought it was great obviously. :)

CC is here for the next three days and we are SO excited! Savannah's daycare is closed until next Monday to get everything ship-shape for the new school year and Savannah can hardly contain her excitement to play with CC. The main things she wants to do with CC are "books" and "tea" as she keeps saying, "CC, books!" "CC, tea!".  Get ready CC. :)

Nothing Much Going On

We had a busy weekend.  7-hour power outage in the middle of the day.  Moving an entire room of furniture to another room. Waiting for baby brother's furniture to be delivered. 4 hours after it was supposed to be.  Sending baby brother's furniture back because it came in wrong.  Running errands 3 hours past Savannah's nap.  Getting Anna and Aaron to help move other furniture from the spare room to the garage, awaiting being moved to Searcy or sold, depending on the piece.  Church.  Dinner and also lunch with friends. (!!) Dinner for Savannah's great-granddaddy Poppy's birthday. (!!)  Maybe that's why I suffered 2 migraines in 3 days.  Which take me a minimum of 2 hours to get over each time.  So there aren't a lot of pictures.   But I am still thankful for my little family of 3 (or 4, when do I get to say 4?) and all our many blessings.

2 of my friends from college and I have babies (toddlers) that are 20 days apart or so and we go out for lunch every so often.  Baby C wasn't so into getting her pic taken so the middle chair is empty but we had a great time!

Savannah was purposefully pulling my hair to get my attention so I pulled her hair right back.  That stopped it.

I went to get my toenails redone (I cannot reach mine with any level of comfort or breathing) and Birc and Savannah came along so Savannah could get hers painted too! She has "puh-ple toes!"

She held SO STILL and was so interested in every little thing.  Girly girl!

Savannah had a little mishap on Sunday at church that involved a couch, and chipped her bottom right second tooth.  She hasn't been sleeping quite as well the past few days, and her appetite seemed smaller (both of which kind of go in waves normally anyway).  BUT, we were nervous it could have to do with her tooth so we went to the dentist to get it checked out.  Her dentist office has such fun toys and equipment in the waiting room! She was so excited to be there once she saw the fun she could have!

She did SO WELL with her dentist.  Not a tear while he was looking at her teeth.  She just said "Ahh" and showed him all her teeth and let him touch them and wiggle the one she chipped, as well as use some "tools" to look around the rest of her mouth for any trauma. She did awesome! I was so proud, and also jealous that she could like the dentist that much! I am just now getting to where I don't cry every time I go get my teeth cleaned and I'm almost 30.

Oh, and in case you were curious:  Savannah's teeth were all fine and the chipped one should be just fine, he suggested softer foods for about a week as it may hurt to bite with it.  YAY!

A Few Happys

Happy Anniversary to my awesome parents! I hope you two have a great day and celebrate all day long! I love you!

Here's Miss Sassypants at church on Sunday in a precious dress that CC and Grandad brought back from a trip to New Orleans last year. I remember thinking it looked huge and it fits her now! Crazy!

Summer's almost over! YAY!!! I'm ready for fall weather, birthday season, football season, and holidays! Oh, and also one other little thing, baby brother joining the family!

Just This and That

I'm 25 weeks pregnant today! Yipee! (anyone that knows me while pregnant knows how sarcastic this statement is.  Love babies. Love Savannah. Love this baby boy. Love children in general. Love the fact I can be pregnant.  Strongly dislike actually being pregnant.) (But looking back on being pregnant with Savannah, I have lots of fond memories, so it is just my hormones making my emotions crazy!)

Savannah and I made lots of cookies Monday night! We have new neighbors that need a visit from us, I have a choir party on Wednesday, and I also made some for my summer staff since summer is almost over!  She had a ball in the kitchen with me :)

CC came last week and is coming a lot in the next two weeks and brought some fun finger paints for Savannah to do! She loved it! (if you look up at my belly pic, you can see her beautiful artwork in the background that we made here in these pictures)

Finally, happy 20 months to my sweet baby girl! She's getting so grown up!! See y'all later!

Sand Box

Well, Savannah just started enjoying our sand box from Aaron and Anna! We went and picked up some sand finally for it and surprised her with it after nap on Sunday. It is as hot as you know where here, but we still managed to get out for a few minutes to get really dirty in the sand. :)  You know how well sand and sweat mix.

Just Sayin' Hi!

We're just saying a quick hello! CC is coming today and somebody is SO VERY EXCITED! We even changed up the words to Annie's "Tomorrow" when we were talking last night about how CC is coming! [in case you're curious, it goes, "Oh CC is coming, tomorrow, so ya gotta hang on til tomorrow, when CC comes...Toooomorrow, tooomorrow, CC's coming, tomorrow, it's only a day away"]  Savannah's school is closed today and tomorrow so lucky for her CC is coming.
