Ahh-Tide!

This child wants to be outside (Ahh-tide) Every Day.  I'm talking, begs to go, banging on the windows and doors saying ahh-tide over and over and over and over. Luckily her daddy picks her up each day from daycare and they come home and go straight outside! Except when it is raining which is Savannah's worst nightmare I think.

I picked her one flower and asked her to smell it.

She was so excited to have one!

So she pulled about 10 more.  Hah!

Daddy, what did you find?!?!?

A BUNNY?!?! (we found a baby tiny bunny in the flower bed.  Can you see him in the middle of this pic?)

Cheese :)

getting close to the bunny. (yes those are dying weeds.  Don't judge us. we're (birc is) working on it)

My loves! Such a sweet pic!

Our Weekend

Our weekend was mostly spent recouping from Savannah being so sick but we managed to sneak in a few fun things.  We met some friends for dinner on Friday night and Savannah and her friend Caroline charmed all the people at the restaurant we were in. Savannah has started, when she's seeing people in public, saying "hiii..." and waving like RIGHT in their face. It's adorable but I don't know if all the strangers she does it to think the same.  We also went to Disney on Ice Saturday night! We thought Savannah (well, I did) would make it to intermission before getting to sleepy/twitchy to get up because she has started being able to watch a tv show for a short amount of time and since this was live and loud I thought she would be so into it! But after two great songs of bouncing on my lap, clapping, and laughing out loud, the villian's song for the Princess and the Frog movie came on and the lights went down and green strobe lights went everywhere, and it scared her to death.  We had to leave the arena and and go into the concession area just to get her to calm down.  After the song ended we tried to go back in about 100 times but finally left at intermission because she just couldn't stand to go back in.  She did find something that she loved though, and that was the popcorn! Just like her mama!  She loved seeing Mickey and Minnie at the big opening number and kept yelling Mimmie! Mimmie! (she calls them both Mimmie, no matter which one she sees).  Anyway, she got in free so I don't feel too terrible about it and seeing her so excited at the beginning was worth it to both Birc and me.  Then we had a big busy day at church all day Sunday and now the work week is already underway!

Everyone else was going in their princess dresses but Savannah has none of those yet so she just put on some play bracelets and necklaces and a tutu.  :)

She would be super picky and select one piece of popcorn at a time and browse over the bucket forever!

Mimmie! Mimmie!

And those are all the pics we took all weekend! We were enjoying each other too much to get out the phone/camera.

Week Wrap-Up

Well, it's been a week.  I won't go into all the details that made it CRAzy for this household but the worst thing is that Savannah has come down with some fever virus or something again.  She's had a high fever (102 or higher) since Tuesday after her nap.  CC has been the life saver staying all week with us so she could stay home with Savannah (as I absolutely could not be gone from work this week as my coworkers were out this week so it was me holding down the fort.)  Needless to say there has been almost no photo taking and not a high number of smiles around here. I think about her only smiles were when Grandad came to visit today and took her swinging.  I imagine Nana and Gran will get some out of her tomorrow too while I'm at work. Here's to hoping our weekend is awesome and next week is so much better! Glad to be almost Friday.  PTL.

Just a few hours before the high fever hit on Tuesday.  Sweet girl loving on "Day-Dence"
CC had come down on Tuesday to have a CC-Savannah day anyway and it was lucky because that's when she woke up with 102 (or higher?)  Here's what CC sent me at work:

Obviously I couldn't wait to get home to my sick baby.  3 days later and she's still feverish.  I'm trying to think positive and look forward to hopefully a fever free weekend. I'm saying a little prayer she breaks her fever in the night so we don't have to go visit Uncle Aaron in the morning. :/ (we love visiting with Uncle Aaron but not visiting him at his office. Savannah really knows the difference)  Hope you guys have a great weekend!

Pictures from our Weekend

Savannah and I been a bit busy this week taking care of each other as Birc has been in Houston from Sunday night until tonight, so I hadn't had a chance to blog.  Here's our weekend in pictures!

see the toes?

Why is my daughter without pants you ask?

Let me tell you.  We went to a quick Mexican restaurant and Savannah decided to grab Birc's full water cup and pour it ALL OVER herself and Birc so we had to leave in the middle of dinner as her clothes were soaked past her shirt. Even tennis shoes were pouring out water.

Where's Savannah?

Peek-A-Boo!

heehee!

She thinks she is totally hidden and it is extra cute since I can see her feet.

Heyy!!

What's up.

Let me get a good look at you Mama.

Heey Mama!

ready for church Sunday!

My best friend from college Valarie and her girls and husband came to stay Sunday night and we had the best time seeing our girls all play together! It was so fun!

Cheese!

Friday To-Do

Well, it's Friday, so I better carry this orange juice bottle around Mama and Daddy's bathroom. (cause that makes perfect sense.)

Why did you open the door, Mama???

You want me to put this in the TRASH??? Can you not see this is my new favorite toy (that you'll have to sneak in the trash can after I go to sleep)???

Silly Mama...you have so much to learn...

and Happy Birthday to my wonderful friend from home Jen! Welcome to 29! I can remember us at 14 like it was yesterday. :)

Turning Things Around and Copycats

Well, miss Savannah wore us down.  Her crying and whining and crazy fits in the short car rides she experiences every day finally drove me into a wall and we turned her around. Don't judge me until you've ridden with her.  It is like a whole new child when we get in the car now.  She can see where we are going, see what I'm doing, talk to me, and is just a general pleasure to spend time with in the car now.  Praise the Lord.

In other news, someone is wanting to be like her big "brother" Cadence. See what I mean?

All Smiles!

Savannah wants to take a 'selfie' self-portrait just about every day.  She talks to herself in the mirror and the iphone camera, smiles at herself, and just in general likes to see herself.  See?

And I had to throw this one in from a few weeks ago riding around the neighborhood in her car.  Pointing to other 'dars' (cars).  She is an outside girl these days with the great temperatures.

Diva Girl

I mean. Diva.
Hey Savannah, have you put your lipstick on yet?

Good job! Show mama so I can take a picture!

I'm sorry, excuse me, I can't be bothered now.  I am busy primping myself.
What a cute diva :) She got this vanity toy set from some of my best friends from home, Meredith and Cassie, and she LOVES it.  It tells her she is pretty and beautiful and tells her to comb her hair, put on lipstick, and powder on her cheeks, has a bracelet she wears, and the mirror has lights around it that blink along with all the songs.  It's so girly and diva-ish.  Just what she needs :)

Weekend!

Weekend, can you come back again soon? Not a whole 5 days away...!

We had a great weekend hanging out just the three of us mainly with a few visits here and there with friends and family.  I am always sad to see the weekend go.  We unfortunately started out finding out Savannah has a UTI, her first one since being 5 weeks old and having the one that shed the light on her bladder reflux.  She got such a glowing report in February at her urologist that he took her off the daily maintenance antibiotic.  I was thrilled then, as you may remember, but now I'm a little worried she could be having damage on her still-affected-kidney since we aren't taking all precautions to avoid infections.  But, I will wait it out and see if there is another UTI like he wants us to.  The urologist said more than 2 and she'd go back on the daily antibiotic.

Oh, and, I think I have FINALLY convinced Savannah to get past not smiling for the camera.  She now says "cheese" and will smile when I ask her to show me her smile. Or her teeth.  (it was really probably only about 2 months that she has been refusing to have her picture taken but it seemed like forever)

She loves a good 'selfie' picture

playing in the front yard and all she wanted to do was run in the street.  Glad we got that fence!

sporty girl! These were Anna's shorts about 30ish years ago and then I guess mine about 28 years ago.  Adorable!

I mean. Love this child!
Let's get this week over with quickly so another weekend is upon us!
