Savannah at 4 months
As you may remember, we signed up with Cara Beth Photography for Savannah's first year pictures. She is a great photographer and is so great with kids. She has 3 nieces and nephews, soon to be 4, and she and her hubby have a little zoo of their own furry children too! We had these taken a couple of weeks back and I love how they turned out! Only bad thing that came out of this was that Savannah and I got home and she had a tick on her! My mom quickly removed it well and we've been watching everyday and nothing has come of it so we think it wasn't even attached yet. [y'all, the bugs are going to be SO bad this year since it never got cold last year! Yuck!]
We love them all! I couldn't pick one favorite :) Hope you guys like them too!
this blue dress was mine when I was a baby!
that's her smirk! :)
and chatty Cathy!
big giggle!
precious toes and monogrammed panties!
We love them all! I couldn't pick one favorite :) Hope you guys like them too!

Go SHS Lions!
It just so happens to be my 10 YEAR high school reunion year-I can't believe it's been that long since HS! Anyway, when I first found out I was pregnant, my mom bought this bib, and Savannah thinks its great :) what a cutie! Happy weekend, guys!

Savannah's new friend
Savannah met a new friend on Sunday when we met up with several of Birc's college friends for brunch. We had a good time and Cooper and Savannah got along great! That is, until he tried to swipe her hairbow! HILAROUS, people! They were staring at each other and then Cooper reached over and pulled it and she stuck out her lower lip and started crying! Somebody is sensitive about her accessories. Birc and I were glad to see everybody anyway!

Flopsy
Everybody, meet Flopsy. She is Savannah's FAVORITE thing to have I think. She just almost cannot go to sleep without 'her' and she loves to cuddle with 'her' and put 'her' over her face. We also try not to leave the house without Flopsy. :) 'She' came from some church friends and when I noticed Savannah's attachment growing, I ran out to the Crown Shop where I knew 'she' was from and grabbed a spare. In the picture taken of the monitor screen, you can see SCM in her swing with Flopsy over her cheek! I am constantly checking to make sure Flopsy isn't over her nose and S can still breathe. As soon as Savannah is asleep, we take Flopsy away or move 'her' away from her face. The great thing about Flopsy is that her 'body' is a blanket which comes in handy for bare legs in the car seat!
I had a pretty serious attachment as a child (and teen, let's be honest) to my cabbage patch doll, Will. He was bald and had a pacifier and slept with me every night, went on all family vacations, and even joined me at meals often. I wonder if Flopsy will be Savannah's "Will". What were you attached to growing up?

Outside!
Savannah loves to sit outside each day with her CC and watch the cars go by. CC is so good to send me the pictures while I'm at work so I can see what my sweet girl is up to. I thought you guys would enjoy them too!

Well, the good news is...
I got a new phone! Happy early Mother's Day to me! The bad news is I have no new pictures yet. However, this gives us a chance to take a walk down memory lane! I can't believe how big Savannah already is! Here's her first photo, taken by either Anna or Aaron I can't remember which.

Happy Friday!
Hey guys, it is almost the weekend!
Does this mean I have to do yard work?
Oh thank goodness, Daddy will take care of that.
What are you going to do then Mama?
I'm pretty booked up, playing with my toes and working on my sitting and all, ya know.
Yay for weekends!
And I think I'll go ahead and take a poll from all (4) of my readers, don't you think it is time for me to get a new phone? It will benefit you greatly, as my picture quality will improve dramatically! [I mean, look how blurry that is?!] And, I can blog from my new phone, which will help me be more regular and up-to-date with it. I see benefits all around. Hopefully Monday's post will be from my new phone! :)

Joke is on me apparently!
I saw this last week and just had to share!
Yes that is, in fact, a chicken crossing the road. I didn't get a chance to ask him why, but I found out as I watched. He was just walking over to his neighborhood Arvest Bank to get some popcorn! A banker came out with a cup full of popcorn and the chicken just gobbled it up! Hope your Monday is getting off on the right foot as well!

Happy Weekend!

Easter Sunday
We had a great weekend with most of our family to celebrate Easter. We only were missing Birc's sister and her family, and my sister and Aaron. With so many different people taking pictures, I've had a lot to sort through, but this still has the potential to be a long post! [ok, just finished, and it IS long. kudos if you make it to the end!]
Birc and I both had duties at church which required us to be there really early, so my parents came down and kept her and got her ready for church.
Nana and Gran got her this adorable duck that sings and dances when you press his wing, and she thinks it is so great! I'll try to post a video of her laughing with it!
The Easter Bunny brought Savannah Make Way For Ducklings book, What Easter Is Really About book, an Easter plate, some new "grass" [bottle drying rack], a spare "Flopsy" [the bunny she has totally attached herself to and we are afraid to only have one!], some bowls for food, and some candy for her mama and daddy. Velvet and Ducky are beside the basket as you can see below. Lucky girl!
Birc and I both had duties at church which required us to be there really early, so my parents came down and kept her and got her ready for church.
Then everyone got to church and all was going fine...
Then it all broke loose.
Savannah proceeded to scream through the whole service with Birc and CC in the "cry room" [which by the way is NOT sound proof] and I could hear her up in the choir loft but was trapped and could not do a thing. It was terrible and I felt so bad for everyone. I knew she had a bottle, plenty of diapers, changes of clothes, pacifiers, and so there was nothing I could do else for her. But it still brought me to tears, I just felt so helpless and sad.
However, by the time we got her in the car to come home, she fell asleep [of course] from wearing herself out screaming and we had a great lunch at our house with everybody. Then we tried to take pics of her with every combination possible and of her and her Easter basket. The Easter Bunny brought her all sorts of goodies and even some candy for Birc and me! :)
CC made her beautiful dress, slip, and lace bonnet. All SO beautiful and Savannah was the best dressed girl that day!
Anna and Aaron got her this precious bunny we are calling "Velvet" cause he looks like the Velveteen Rabbit!
Nana and Gran got her this adorable duck that sings and dances when you press his wing, and she thinks it is so great! I'll try to post a video of her laughing with it!
The oldest and the youngest! 92 years old and 4 months old!
We had a great day [except the screaming part] and I look forward to every time we get family together. Hope you had a happy Easter too!
