Easter Egg Hunt Number One

Savannah's class at daycare had a little Easter Egg hunt Wednesday and it was so cute! They all had a good time I think! I went along so I could snap a few pics of my sweet girl carrying her basket for the first time.  Last year we took pictures of her IN the basket! She's grown so much.

 We have our HUGE Easter EGGSTRAVAGANZA at the church on Saturday morning and we are so excited! Easter Bunny pictures, inflatables, egg hunting, snacks, and more.  It will be a great time.  I'm just hoping the rain holds off so we don't have to have it inside.  I'm also hoping the granddaddies in her life, and her daddy too, will hide some eggs for her on Sunday afternoon too. (Hint Hint) Anyway, we will hunt eggs again though so she got some good practice in with her 3 classmates.  :)

To say Savannah loves her kitties is a huge understatement.  She loves to feed them, pet them, whop them, talk in a high-pitched voice to them, distribute their treats how she sees fit, throw their toys for them, basically anything they love.  I think they love her but I think they wish she was a little calmer and/or quieter.  But they do so well with her.  Here she is with Cadence, who rarely lets her this close.  Obviously he thought that Ritz cracker was worth it.

Last weekend

We had a fun weekend but I am extra excited about this next week! It's Holy Week which I always LOVE and then comes EASTER! yay! Anyway, I might be in and out this week cause it's another crazy busy work week but I hope to catch back up with my daily posts soon.

It's Spring Break here this week which means I work longer/weird hour days and it also means Savannah's daycare is CLOSED.  Yep. closed.  So CC has been here the past two days keeping Savannah company while I am at work!

Now to work on her new favorite thing: hitting mama and daddy in the face.  It's not going over well with Birc and me, obviously, but she is not really grasping the concept of "no" (Or more likely, ignoring it because she knows very well what it means).  We say "no mam" and she does it again and again and again. We pretend to cry and seem hurt and she does it again. We put her down to show her she hurt us and she is doing a "no no" but the next time we're holding her and she doesn't like something ("Savannah, let's go get a new diaper for you) she hits us again.  I'm sure she'll stop one of these days. 

She's about to hit Birc.  she didn't want to 'say cheese' apparently.

Almost Friday.  Thank the Lord :)

Outside!

Our hyacinths are blooming (we received them from my aunt Kitty on the celebration of Savannah's baptism last February!) and they're pretty much the only flowers I grow and I haven't done a thing except plant the bulbs last year and let God water them. I have the least green thumb I know of.  Anyway, Savannah was wearing an adorable hand-me-down from her cousin Anna and it matched the purple hyacinths perfectly!

Doc update

Savannah had her 15 month appointment with Dr. Aaron last Friday and of course he said she was perfect! She screamed for the whole clinic to hear, though, while she got weighed and measured.  You woulda thought she was being stung by 100 bees the way she was carrying on.  But she calmed down. :) I forgot to get a pic with Aaron but we took some self-portraits while we waited. :)

Before we left, I tried to take some pictures of her adorable outfit but never got the whole thing in a shot.  Ah...

Savannah weighed 22 pounds and 7 ounces, was 29.75 inches tall, and I cannot remember her head measurements.  But I know she's under 25% for height, 50% for weight, and a whopping 75% for HEAD.  The girl has got a noggin. Obviously to hold all those brains in there. :)  Aaron got to update her charts to reflect her newest kidney test results from February so that was exciting! He thought her verbal and motor skills were super and he said she looked healthy!  Yay for good doctor visits! If only we didn't have to endure the 3 shots.  I say "we" because it is terrible for me too but she was fine by the time we left.

Weekend Recap

Well we had a jam-packed weekend, here's the quickest recap I can muster!

Sunday AM before church

We went to the races Saturday and it was in the 80's which is SO hot suddenly so we cooled off in the car

We were right next to the Paddock so we got to see the horses come out.  Savannah loved it

We also went to Garvan Gardens with Birc's parents and had the best time! It was so beautiful.

We had a super time and I always hate to see the weekends go! Hope the next one comes quickly. :)
