Our weekend was PACKED with activities and honestly I am glad for the week to get started (almost) so things can settle down. We started out Saturday morning going to get some family pictures taken by my friend Cara Beth of Cara Beth Studio-the one who took all of Savannah's pictures since birth! We had such a fun time and I can't wait to see the results!
Then we hopped across town to the Heifer Village to see my celebrity sister speak about health policy and she did a great job! Luckily it was a very casual setting so Savannah was not totally distracting to everyone. She even went up and sat in Anna's lap at one point during the talk. In Savannah's defense, Anna invited her up there!
Then it was time for Lee's birthday party at The Little Gym. Lee's a classmate of Savannah's. This was Savannah's second time at The Little Gym and she loved it so much! Since it was back across town, she was able to get a little 20 minute nap in during the car ride. (usually she naps for like an hour or two so this was really short)
We had an outfit change because the previous outfit was more "fall-ish" for our family pics and The Little Gym makes you sweaty!
Then we came home to watch the HOG massacre with CC and Grandad which was depressing but not unexpected really. I mean we aren't going to be national champs this year by any means. After that we went to a gender reveal party for some of our friends who are due in February with their first baby! It's a girl and we're thrilled for them! However, at the party another little boy got sick and threw up, and Savannah got SO scared. After just getting over the stomach bug a month or so ago, she is terrified of vomiting I think. Combined with no nap basically that day, and we had to leave the party because she couldn't settle down. It HAD been a long day and she was a trooper really.
Sunday we went to church. I put her in this dress for the last time-it's a 12 month, and it's getting to be fall weather, so I figure it is the end of the time for this dress :(
After lunch with Sunday School friends, we napped and then played outside in the beautiful 72 degree weather.
Oh my the sweetness.
Then, I went to lead my kids' choir and Birc and Savannah went to Nana and Gran's to get a birthday celebration underway! I joined them shortly after :) Savannah said "happy birday, Gan" about a hundred times while we were there! It was so cute! We love you Gran and hope this is your best year yet!
Savannah loves her Gran and loves how much he plays with her and pushes her around in the car and the rocket, and just in general spoils her and does everything she asks him to do :) She will grab his finger and pull hard and say "Gan, come" and pull him into the playroom to play. He always agrees! She is a lucky girl to have you, Gran! We all love you!
