I absolutely positively cannot believe Savannah is one year old! It just seems so fast! I feel like she's been here forever and just arrived all at the same time. She's turned into quite the busy bee this past month and is learning by leaps and bounds! I am so proud of how smart she is!
Savannah has 3 teeth and is eating like a champ! Her favorites are bananas, raspberries, puffs, cheese, turkey, and mangoes but she eats a lot of other things and still a lot of baby food. With only two teeth in on the bottom and the top left just having broken through last week she can't eat a lot of hard foods yet. She has a banana almost every morning for breakfast and if she hasn't had it by 10 AM she starts going "b-nana...b-nana....b-nana!!!" until she gets a taste of her favorite food!

Savannah is wearing size 3 diapers, and is exactly 20.000 pounds and is I think 28 inches long which is down to the 35% but her head is a whopping 65%! Hah! Speaking of her head, her hair is really growing and filling in everywhere! I put it in pigtails this month and she looked just precious. It is exactly my same hair color. We are pretty sure she is a brown-eyed girl but they still have a bit of a grayish tone. We think she's about to hit a little growth spurt because her belly is sticking out a lot! So cute! She's wearing mostly 12 months stuff but the arms are all too long and she can still fit into some 9-12 and 6-12 month things too. Some 12 month stuff that I had gotten for the holiday season won't fit her :(

Miss Savannah Cate is still not sleeping all night long but we are consistently doing better every day and every night. Right now she's going to bed between 8 and 9 and usually waking only once until 7:00 and then she eats and goes back to sleep until about 9:30. She's staying asleep for about 12 hours every night and if she could just not miss me so much and want a little 5 minute visit from her mama at night she could be even more rested!
She has started taking one whole milk bottle at daycare, about 6 ounces and so with the weaning process I am planning to cut out the morning feeding next and give her a whole milk bottle (which will turn into a sippy cup-Aaron don't judge us!). Last I will cut out the night feedings. I am hoping to have her completely weaned before she's 13 months. I am just thrilled to not be taking the pump to work anymore. Praise the Lord that stage is OVER.

Savannah is walking like a champ and is just almost running sometimes! She gets so excited that she starts going on her toes right before she gets to what she was heading towards. It is really cute! She is not crawling at all anymore and has pretty much lost the "Frankenstein walk" too. She can say mama, dada, nana, b-nana, hot, keys, bubble, baba (for balloon), cheese (sounds like ceese since she can't make the "h" sound), chicken, boys (the cats), and can make a horse, cat, lamb, duck, and cow sound. She is really following commands and can understand a lot of what we say. She knows where her belly, ears, hair, eyes, nose, and toes are and can point to them when she is asked. If I ask her to take her bow out and bring it to me or put her toy in the basket she can do it! Smartypants!! She can also shake her head yes and no and if I tell her no (for example, unrolling all the toilet paper all over the bathroom), she will later walk over to the toilet paper and shake her head no at it. And sometimes choose to pull it all over the bathroom anyway. We will have our hands full with this spunky girl!

Well this wraps up the monthly updates officially but I'll try to update as I can with her development from time to time. I am SO thrilled and feel blessed beyond measure to have Savannah in our family. Birc and I love her so much and thank God for blessing us with her.
