Baptized!

Our sweet girl was baptized on Sunday and we couldn't be happier! Not only was she 'washed by the water' but it was a beautiful day filled with everyone we love! I'll be blogging about it more later, but I am going to wait for my sister's pictures since she has a new fancypants camera and was the 'official' photographer of the day.  Our parents got some great pics too, along with our camera (whoever was taking them with our camera?)  Just to hold you over, here's a pic of her precious self about to get baptized.  Love her. :)

and below is another precious picture so you can see her pretty smile!

Can't wait to share the rest!

Bear with me...

...as I return to work part-time.  I can only imagine how it will be when I go back full-time! Oh my! I'm taking Savannah with me to work right now, as my work is flexible enough in the mornings I can get lots of stuff done while she naps and plays.

Happy 12 weeks today Savannah!

Here I am, working hard at St. James.  somebody grab my laptop!

Storytime with Daddy is the best!
We had a great weekend and lots of fun blog-worthy events occuring, so stay tuned!

Savannah the Chia Pet

 Yesterday...

Today!

Hah! Thought everyone could use a Friday laugh.  Savannah loves my hair on her face, and I was trying to get some around to her face when my dad spotted this hilarous photo op.  :)

This and that...

I forgot to post yesterday, a picture of this yummy apple pie I made for Birc's birthday.  Baking is really a whole new experience with an infant 'helping' you.  I made this pie in many stages, between feedings and diaper changes and crying episodes!

Anyway, we're just gearing up for my return to work part-time for the next 4 weeks. Hope it goes smoothly!

See ya later, folks!

Happy Birthday Birc!

I love you dear!

We've done lots of cool things,

and been lots of cool places.

Eaten countless yummy meals
and, very importantly, explored WDW for days and days,

called the hogs,

and completed many home projects [thanks for that]

We had so much fun doing that we decided to get engaged,

and get married!

Then we found out a baby was on the way,

and you became a daddy!

Savannah loves you very much already.

Mama,  I don't want the sign on my belly! It covers up my cute monogrammed top!

If we could just put it over this way, I'll smile for the camera.

A little help here...? I can't tell what's up and what's down!

There we go! Happy Birthday Daddy! I love you!

We are so lucky to have such a great husband and daddy! Thank the good Lord you were born 32 years ago today!

Anybody...?

Anybody wish they were here??
I'm just itching to get to somewhere really warm and sunny and wear flip flops.

At least I've got this cutie to keep me company in this winter/non-winter we are having here in AR:

Look, ma! No hands!

Weekend fun

We had a great weekend in the Morledge household! Friday night, I had some much-needed girl time with some of my besties at Big Orange (awesome burger, salad, and shake restaurant) and continued on with it Saturday morning when Anna and I went for pedicures.  SO relaxing and fun! Then Birc and I hung out all afternoon and evening with Savannah and rented some redbox movies.  [continuing the relaxation]  Sunday was a busy day, though.  I am the volunteer director for the Kindergarten kids choir at St. James and we were 'performing' in the 8:30 worship service.  That meant my little family all had to be at church by 8:00-the earliest we've had to be anywhere since SCM's arrival-and we made it with a few minutes to spare! [pat on the back for us]  My kiddos did superb, and we even got to go to Sunday School since SCM was still sleeping.  Then we came home and got ready to see CC and Grandad who were coming into town so we could all go to Anna and Aaron's big event, Soup Sunday.

All in all a great weekend since none of us are sick, no one is crying NON-STOP, we had moments of relaxation and yet still stuff to do, AND the weather was nice.  Savannah has really started turning a corner and I am thinking she is getting over this colic business.  They crying isn't all the time anymore, and we are actually able to get smiles out of her a lot!

Savannah is excited because we're gearing up to celebrate somebody's birthday who is VERY SPECIAL in this house on Wednesday! YAY!

Sleeping Beauty

Savannah is slowly getting the idea that sleeping is, in fact, not so bad after all.

The only problem is, she pretty much only falls asleep THIS WAY [and you must either be walking around or bouncing on the yoga ball.]:

Valentine's Fun

Savannah is quite the lucky girl.  Everybody seemed to remember it was her first Valentine's Day.  She got a sweet card and a YUMMY dinner out to Graffiti's from Nana and Gran [well everyone else ate, anyway!].  She got plenty of cards in the mail including one from Melissa in Memphis.  She even got some valentine presents from her parents,  CC and Grandad and her Anna and Aaron!

We got her mostly some things she already needed.  Poor girl has practical parents.  She got some baby wipes, some stylin' pacifiers, and then a few cute little valentine and heart-shaped plates and a heart sippy cup for a few months down the road.  She clearly LOVED everything.

Oh my goodness! All these outfits? For me??? Thanks Anna and Aaron!

What do you mean, I can't wear them until summer? They won't fit?? What???

CC and Grandad sure want me to be cute! I love my monogrammed onesie and baby leggings, and my mary jane socks!

But Rascal the Raccoon is the cutest thing ever! Sock monkey turned raccoon!

 C'mere Rascal, I'll give you a hug.
Thanks for loving me and dressing me cute guys! [you should see what mama buys--eek! I mean, did you see my 'practical' Valentine gift??? seriously, people...]

See ya tomorrow!
