After I finally got over the terrible stomach monster that attacked me, SCM got really sick. She started running a low-grade fever Thursday, that ended up turning into a high fever (especially for an 8 week old) that night, and then she vomited twice. Aaron suggested we go to Arkansas Children's Hospital ER, so off we went. At 11:30 PM. I was trying to stay calm and we were just assuming she had caught what I thought was food poisoning but must've been a virus. She got her blood drawn (horrible) and urine tested (by catheder-horrible X2) and they opted out of doing a spinal tap at that time. (thank goodness)
She didn't vomit anymore, and her fever became more manageable with some tylenol. They sent us home thinking it was my virus, with instructions to give fever reducers and check in with Aaron the next day. She seemed still fussy (nothing totally new, though) and held on to the low-grade fever through Sunday. Sunday afternoon, ACH called and said her urine culture had grown some bacteria and she needed to be on an antibiotic. So we started that last night and went off to see Aaron earlier today. She seems happier already, with just a few doses of meds, and is sleeping SO MUCH better. She has a UTI and will have to have an ultrasound of her kidneys and bladder later this week. We're praying everything is normal like we think it will be, and this infection is just a fluke thing. I can't wait for all of my family to be better and happy at one time! :)

And just for kicks and giggles, look how long her eyelashes are getting! LOVE them! I'll post her 2 month pics and stats later this week.
