Easter Sunday

We had a great weekend with most of our family to celebrate Easter.  We only were missing Birc's sister and her family, and my sister and Aaron.  With so many different people taking pictures, I've had a lot to sort through, but this still has the potential to be a long post! [ok, just finished, and it IS long. kudos if you make it to the end!]
Birc and I both had duties at church which required us to be there really early, so my parents came down and kept her and got her ready for church.
Then everyone got to church and all was going fine...
Then it all broke loose.
Savannah proceeded to scream through the whole service with Birc and CC in the "cry room" [which by the way is NOT sound proof] and I could hear her up in the choir loft but was trapped and could not do a thing.  It was terrible and I felt so bad for everyone.  I knew she had a bottle, plenty of diapers, changes of clothes, pacifiers, and so there was nothing I could do else for her.  But it still brought me to tears, I just felt so helpless and sad.

However, by the time we got her in the car to come home, she fell asleep [of course] from wearing herself out screaming and we had a great lunch at our house with everybody.  Then we tried to take pics of her with every combination possible and of her and her Easter basket.  The Easter Bunny brought her all sorts of goodies and even some candy for Birc and me! :)

CC made her beautiful dress, slip, and lace bonnet.  All SO beautiful and Savannah was the best dressed girl that day!

Anna and Aaron got her this precious bunny we are calling "Velvet" cause he looks like the Velveteen Rabbit!

Nana and Gran got her this adorable duck that sings and dances when you press his wing, and she thinks it is so great! I'll try to post a video of her laughing with it!

The Easter Bunny brought Savannah Make Way For Ducklings book, What Easter Is Really About book, an Easter plate, some new "grass" [bottle drying rack], a spare "Flopsy" [the bunny she has totally attached herself to and we are afraid to only have one!], some bowls for food, and some candy for her mama and daddy.  Velvet and Ducky are beside the basket as you can see below.  Lucky girl!
The oldest and the youngest! 92 years old and 4 months old!

We had a great day [except the screaming part] and I look forward to every time we get family together.  Hope you had a happy Easter too!

A wonderful day minus the missing of some important people. Just so you'll remember, she fell asleep as she heard the singing of the Hallelujah chorus by the choir. Just needed the mustic to soothe the soul!

Great job on the dress Cara - its beautiful! I'm sure no one else was as bothered by the crying as you were!
