Walker's Baptism

Walker got baptized at our church on February 23rd, and we had such a special day.  I was so happy to have so many family members here and we missed everyone who couldn't be here.  We had a catered lunch at my house afterwards, and Walker got some presents too.  Thanks, Anna, for taking such great pictures!  Thanks, Grandad, for filming throughout the day! Thanks, CC, for getting his two outfits ready for him.  Thanks to everyone for his gifts and for helping us turn our house back around and for everyone who made the long trip here! We love you all!

Walker wore the Christening gown that my mom and her three sisters wore, my sister and 4 cousins and I wore, and Savannah wore.  He's only the 2nd boy to wear it out of all of those people!

Anna captioned the above photo, "get me outta this dress, Aunt Anna" :)

Savannah was unusually and especially shy this day and did not want her photo taken at all or to be separated from her Flopsy.  We dealt with that the best we could :)

Our Senior Pastor, Sieg Johnson, baptized him and I asked him to take him back to see the choir because as a fellow choir member, I love to see the baptized babies!

The whole gang, below!

Passed out from being loved on and passed around.

All da boys.

I decorated the house in blues and greens.  Love the way it turned out with the sunny day we were blessed with!

Outfit change! He changed into a little shortall type outfit after we got home, and he looked so handsome!

Naptime!

Savannah loves Great-Granddaddy!

THIS IS MY FAVORITE PICTURE EVER!!!

What a day of blessings.  Love my God and love my family and love my church!

A Few Things

Last week it was my Granddaddy's 90th birthday! We had a special steak dinner at Outback with him and then came over and surprised him with a little cake and ice cream over at my house.  He had a good time! (for his birthday, he also had an eye appointment where he got a shot in his eye. what a great present. NOT. He didn't skip a beat, though; you go through a lot to get to 90 I'm sure)

In other news, Savannah has become a quite the sanitizer with her Daddy.  She loves to help clean Walker's bottles, such a little mama.

She got some "Frozen" nails and toenails (blue sparkly icey nail polish) and was SO excited.

Savannah helped "walk" [run] Bon Jovi with Nana and Gran this week in the nice weather!

She had picture day at school.  She was less than thrilled, to say the least.

But by the end of the day, she had some smiles!

Another great morning because it was in the high 60's!!! Short sleeves, bare legs, and no jacket mean spring is HERE!

Enjoy the weekend ahead!

Consignment Shopping

I went and did some spring/summer consignment shopping this weekend and got lots of great deals! I spent less than $350 and got over 50 outfits for the kids.  I am so excited, and I LOVE bargain shopping.  I know it looks like Walker got less [he did] but he just was born and got SO MANY clothes for being born.  Savannah is now in 2T and 3T clothes and doesn't have anything left from baby gifts! hah :)  Now the kids closets are stocked for the spring and summer.  I just need to pick up a few more socks and PJs for Savannah and Walker might need some more socks as well.

Thanks to CC for getting all the clothes dried and ironed and put away! CC is a magic worker.

Sunday Best

These adorable cuties really enjoyed going to church on Sunday! We've been really avoiding large crowds like church during all of flu season, so we are excited to get back in the swing of things going again.  Savannah is wearing an old dress of mine and Walker is wearing an adorable Feltman Brothers outfit.  Love them.

[I mean, when did her hair get SO LONG.]

Savannah, get your brother to smile!! ::

See you tomorrow!

What's been going on?

What's been going on, you ask? Well we got a nice little spring surprise of an ICE STORM and we were iced in for Monday and Tuesday.  It was great, honestly.  I know people tend gripe and complain and "can't wait" to get back to work/school/schedules but I was made for ice/snow days and getting to stay in PJs and cuddle and eat baked goods all day.  Here are some pictures from the last few days and last weekend.
Chunky Monkey

New (to us) piano! (It was my mom's grandmother's piano.) Savannah is so excited!

Oh, you know.  Just having a fit in the middle of Wal Mart.  Every toddler has to do it at least once.

I am trying to convince him a paci is better than his thumb but he doesn't agree.

Cutie in AR wear!

Savannah lined up all of these markers herself. She was so proud!

This is the face Walker gave me when I told him we were going to watch the Oscars.

So here's what he decided to do instead. (Anna's fave forearm rolls showing here)

Aaand, Savannah lined up all of Walker's toys here too.  She's  really into lining up things obv.

"Hey Mama!"

"What?? I love this seat"

sleeping girl.  She came to our bed about 6 am this morning and I snapped this.

With all the snow/ice, it was difficult for CC to get here this morning, so Walker spent some time with Nana and some time at work with me before CC arrived.  Here's his last official day at work! Now it's all play time with CC from here on out!

I'm getting ready to do a post on Walker's baptism, I haven't forgotten.  I've just been enjoying my little family instead. :)
