Adventures in Self-Feeding

Savannah is working on her spoon usage.  It's messy, y'all.  And if you know me, dairy anywhere but down the sink is just plain disgusting to me!

Oh, just another Tuesday

We had a great weekend and I wish I could say I took tons of pictures but I did not do that at all. I'm about to show you every single pic from the weekend.  Savannah went and stayed the night at CC and Grandad's house on Saturday night and Birc and I had a big date night!  A big thank you to CC and Grandad for loving on my sweet girl and keeping her entertained, fed, and loved. We had a silent auction to go to that was a lot of fun and also went to The Capitol Hotel for some appetizers beforehand.  We came home and crashed, and had a whole Sunday to hang out together at church and around the house.  It was great to be just the two of us for a bit but we REALLY missed Savannah.  We talked about her 99% of the time and everything seemed so quiet and sad without her.  Even the boysies missed her I think. They'd walk into her room and meow.  I went up to join Savannah on Sunday night so I could go to the Rhea Lana consignment sale and brought us both back Monday in time for work.  Oh, and the weather Saturday was ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS here and we loved it!

Caddo is an inside cat but he LOVES outside and so we sat on the porch for a bit so he could smell the air or whatever he is doing :)

We went to Nana and Gran's to help them walk the dogs around the circle and Savannah rode in a car that they got from a friend! She loved it!

Really wishing I had photos from her stay at CC and Grandad's as well as pics of Birc and me all snazzied up on Saturday night.  Oh well, I've learned my lesson.

Just pictures today of my sweetie.  She was sick a lot of the week so we got in lots of cuddles but I hated her feeling badly.  I'm excited for the weekend!

Happy Birthday, Granddaddy!

Happy Birthday Granddaddy! We love you! 89 years ago you were born and we are all so glad! Without you none of us would be here. Seriously, though, you are a blessing to all of us. I love getting to see you often since we live only an hour apart, and I LOVE seeing Savannah watching you and getting to know you! So many people live so far from their grandparents these days and I feel very lucky to have you so close. Anna and I are so lucky to have a 'second set of parents' in you and Grandmother growing up-y'all never missed our events or birthdays or special occasions.  I can surely speak for Anna too, we both appreciate you so much.  You've always been there for us and shown us unconditional love.  Easter is coming up and I remember you always hiding eggs for me around the yard all afternoon, so I am looking forward to you hiding some eggs for Savannah this Easter! (She has figured out what Easter eggs are since I put our the Easter decor this week, and she LOVES them, carrying them all over the house!)

Weekend Wrap-Up

We had a productive weekend around here! I'm happy to report that the dish fairy, coat rack fairy, and the pantry fairy all did visit Birc and me in our sleep apparently because we found the motivation to get our whole house cleaned and some other projects that have been waiting to get finished are all done now.  I took absolutely no pictures except some of Savannah after church this morning.  Cutie in her Little Bo Peep smock! Unfortunately she's a SERIOUS moving target and I basically couldn't even get a smile with a clear shot.  Ah well...

Friday Fairies

I need some fairies at my house.  Dish fairies. Pantry fairies.  Coat Rack fairies.  Can anyone point me to some?

Seriously, though, this week has been crazy busy and I have not had 5 minutes to do anything productive.  [and if I have, I have decided to rest and sit down for those 5 minutes instead]  I am looking forward to the weekend when I can catch back up and my house won't look like a tornado hit it!
