4th of July fun!

We had a great 4th, despite it falling in the middle of the week. Birc and Savannah and I decided to go up to Searcy Tuesday night and spend the day swimming and doing a bunch of nothing! Then we came back in time to eat dinner with his parents and were planning to watch the fireworks at the country club but they were cancelled due to the burn ban! Y'all, we are having some EXTREME heat here.  Like today it is 107.  Oh my.  Anyway, back to the Fourth.  SCM had a cute little outfit, as you can see below, but I got a wild hair and decided to make (let my mom make) a cute little pillowcase dress for her to celebrate the holiday! We made the whole thing in about 15 minutes.  SUper easy!
Here's my baby girl in the outfit I bought her.  Adorable!

Here's the back and the diaper cover! Adorable!

Our family picture with my crazy hair :)

Oh the cuteness!
My lifelong friend Melissa came over for a visit and to love on SCM.  And you can't see her shirt here, but it says "Back to Back World War Champs" with a big American flag on it.  haha! :)
We did a bunch of swimming and Savannah just loved it! She splashed and played and loved all the floatie things we had for her!
Here's the dress we made.  I'm planning to change out the blue ribbon for red or white and then it is an everyday dress and isn't too patriotic!
This girl loves her CC and Grandad and I think the feeling is mutual!
This is her excited pose. :) hah!
Grandad was super stylin in his aviator sunglasses and polo shorts!
"what do you mean we don't get to have a holiday every week?"
We wish we could have a holiday every week after the fun we had on Wednesday!  I failed and didn't take pictures with Nana and Gran but we had just as much fun with them at the club and afterwards on a stroll around their neighborhood that finally JUST GOT RE-PAVED! Hallelujah!

OH and one last thing-happy 7 months baby girl! We love you!  I'll post soon about her 7 month birthday!

You, Birc, and Savannah come on back tomorrow and we'll do it again! I love having my family at home. Talk your big sister and Aaron into coming, too! I still have some of my hot fudge sauce left. Great photos and commentary!!

Cute dress! So sweet. I'll have to figure out how to make some before D gets too big.
