Walker at 18 Months

I can't believe my tiny baby is 18 months old. Time just flies. Walker is such a joy and a happy soul. He is so sweet and friendly and playful all the time.

All the facts: Walker weighs almost 29 pounds and is about 32 inches long. His head is off the charts at 19 inches around. (All those brains) he sleeps every night 8 pm to 7:30 or 8:00 am. He takes a 2 or 3 hour nap every day and is just an all-around great sleeper. I feel so so so lucky especially after living with Savannah who has other wonderful qualities. Heehee.

I hate to even admit this but he is still drinking a bottle when he wakes up and when he goes to bed. I know. Horrible parents but I am just keeping memories here. We have plans to get rid of it in the next month. He is a great eater and he loves all fruit, yogurt, macaroni and cheese, crackers, breakfast bars, rolls, and of course cookies and brownies. Heehee. He is not a big veggie eater but neither was Savannah and she's doing much better now so I have no need to worry. He loves to drink milk from only one type of sippy cup and also loves water.

Walker is really good at walking, almost running, going up stairs, and dancing. He loves to dance and he absolutely loves music. He loves to play with his sister and he is very ticklish. He absolutely loves everything about going outside and loathes coming inside. He likes to say hi to strangers and charm everyone with his awesome hair. He has great balance and fine motor skills and can also make the cutest faces at you. He can say: mama, dada, bye bye, thank you (tank two) pleis (please), bear, mil (milk), no no, pen (open), upbah (up) nana (for Nana, Anna, and banana) Kalker (Walker), turtle, light, hot, go go!, ba (bottle), nigh nigh (night night), Cor cor (Corrie his teacher), poopoo [of course he can say that...], pauper (diaper) and some other words I can't remember now. He can also make sounds similar to Savannah, Grandad, CC, and Gran but they aren't as clear as other words. He knows what cats, dogs, ducks, bunnies, pigs, horses, sheep, monkeys, gorillas, and maybe a few other ones say. He can show you where his belly, head, toes, legs, arms, hands, nose, ears, eyes, tongue, shoulders, and mouth/teeth are. He wears 18-24 month and some 2T clothes and a size 6 shoe. He has 16 teeth already and is also already working on his 2- year molars. It's been so joyous. Not.

He's given us quite a few medical scares since he was in my belly and seems to be continuing that trend. Hopefully that trend ends soon and we can just relax a minute. I'll try to blog about that soon.

What a blessing this sweet boy is to me and our whole family. God has big plans for him and I can see his personality and laid-back nature will help him go far in all he does. He's such a strong little boy and such an inspiration to me by just being happy and having the joy of the Lord shine through him.

He has come a long way since September 23 2013. I am so proud of him and he's only 18 months. Way to be awesome, Walker B. Mama loves you 😍

Walker has brought great joy to my life. These pictures capture him so well. When I see him, like yesterday's surprise visit just before his nap at church, his great big smile starts growing on his face. His whole face lights up and it gives me such a great feeling. Kneeling down with this cute little boy as he started his nap and seeing the love in his eyes is so special. I love him! I am so excited I get to watch him grow up with his wonderful Mom and Dad and super big sister, Savannah.
