Beach Trip 2016

Our little family took our first family vacation alone this past month! It was really very fun and relaxing! The sand was still cool since it was early in the year, and we had perfect weather! We only spent 4 days but that was a great amount for our family. Both kids had heat rashes by the 4th day so it was good we weren't staying longer!

We got there just in time to see sunset on the beach before dinner.

We loved our resort and definitely plan to go back!

First full day on the beach, here we come! Everyone was so excited!
We caught 3 starfish--so cool! They were alive and we let them go at the end of our day.
Our resort had 3 restaurants and a few shops, along with an ice cream shop, playground, and 5 pools. We loved it!

Crab Claws--so so good:
Day 2:

Spent a few hours at the local zoo. It was a very strange zoo to say the least.

It smelled. See Walker below if you don't believe me!
Back to the resort.

Evening swim in the hot tubs!! Savannah became obsessed with the hot tubs!

The beach wore them out every day.
Day 3:
Savannah fed the birds and they surrounded us!
We skipped naps each day but the last day Walker missed dinner because he was just too tired.
He woke up in time to go to the go-cart carnival place!!
Last morning. Pancakes in bed!
Bye bye beach!
On our way home we stopped at my aunt Jana's house to visit and she fed us a very yummy lunch and let us run around her house and Savannah pick her flowers. It was such a special visit! Savannah and Walker both called Jana "CC" the whole time because they look so much like each other!  It was so sweet.
Jana worked very hard on a bouquet of all the flowers Savannah picked so she could bring it home! She loved it!

And that's a wrap--wonderful and memorable trip that we plan to make again as soon as we can!
