Zoo!

We went to the zoo on Saturday and it was beautiful weather for the first time in a long while and we loved it and so did the animals! They were all out to play in the sun so we got to see so many! Nana got to come with us but Gran was stuck in meetings so we missed him.  We had a great time and of course Savannah loved all the 'amals' (animals).

Easter and Easter Egg Hunts #3, 4, and on and on...

So I had to take an unintentional bloggy break.  Y'all I was SO SICK.  I got a terrible double ear infection, sinus infection, and possible pneumonia.  I missed 3 days of work last week.  My wonderful mama came down to take care of me and do 867 loads of laundry and dishes.  I could HARDLY get out of bed.  I can't say enough HOW SICK I WAS FEELING.  But I am recovered almost all the way and feeling almost back to normal.  Praise the Lord.

Anyway, back to Easter, we had a great day and it of course passed by so quickly! We had everyone over to the house after church for a big lunch which we are loving doing each year! Then Savannah opened her Easter basket (I had to be at church at 7:45 so no one else in my family was even up yet) and hunted eggs all afternoon (with a nap in between somewhere) and played with everyone in the family! She looked precious in her brand new smocked dress from CC and was the prettiest girl around (at least I'm not biased).  She got lots of fun and sweet little Easter gifts and had her first chocolate bunnies! I found these miniature (I'm talking the size of a corn kernel with ears) chocolate bunnies that came in a little bag like M&Ms that she is loving! She has about 1, let's be honest, 2 chocolate bunnies every day now :) Grandad hid her eggs for her several times so she could go hunting and she just thought it was GREAT.  We had to do all our activities inside, unfortunately, as it was rainy and very muddy but she didn't seem to notice.  Then Nana and Gran and CC and Grandad helped us clean up the whole house and put everything back together.  Thanks guys.

we took family pics but Savannah was napping during them.  She's in plenty of others I think ;)

best pic we could get.  Between her not wanting to take pictures and demanding to hold her basket of eggs, it was a little crazy.

happy girl :)

Easter Egg Hunt #2

First off, a HAPPY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Andy! We love you and hope you have a great day! I'm sure Melissa and Anna and Aiden have something great planned for you!

I'll wrap up the weekend tomorrow but first I wanted to post pics from Savannah's second egg hunt at our church on Saturday morning.  It was raining, so they had it inside but I don't think Savannah noticed one bit.  She spotted eggs and popped them right into her basket! It was just so precious to me!  We love our church and are so so glad to have all the friends and kids and everything that we do from there.    The egg hunt was no disappointment.  There were thousands of eggs for hunting, filled with good candy I might add, free pics with the Easter Bunny, and probably Savannah's favorite, the inflatables to play on! At the end they asked us to donate our empty eggs back so they could use them again next year.  We were glad to do that because eggs are taking over our house right now!
I love her outfit! Nana and Gran bought it for her last year while we were in Destin at the Janie and Jack outlet.  adorable.  and the sandals??? Such a big girl.

taking a dip in the returned eggs. :)

she got quite a haul!

This is what pure terror looks like, people.

best one we got

Save Me Mama!
See y'all tomorrow!

Easter Egg Hunt Number One

Savannah's class at daycare had a little Easter Egg hunt Wednesday and it was so cute! They all had a good time I think! I went along so I could snap a few pics of my sweet girl carrying her basket for the first time.  Last year we took pictures of her IN the basket! She's grown so much.

We have our HUGE Easter EGGSTRAVAGANZA at the church on Saturday morning and we are so excited! Easter Bunny pictures, inflatables, egg hunting, snacks, and more.  It will be a great time.  I'm just hoping the rain holds off so we don't have to have it inside.  I'm also hoping the granddaddies in her life, and her daddy too, will hide some eggs for her on Sunday afternoon too. (Hint Hint) Anyway, we will hunt eggs again though so she got some good practice in with her 3 classmates.  :)
