Quick Pics

I've got a lot of great pictures from our weekend that I'll share over the next few days.  Hope everyone had a good one too!
breakfast of champions. 5 donut holes and a glass of milk. YUM!

Razorbacks!

Go Hogs! 3-0!

Obviously we do more than watch football on the weekends (well, Birc does just about only that!) but it sure is fun to put Savannah in a little cheerleading uniform! More to come tomorrow.

Lotsa Stuff

Lots to talk about today!
1. It's Friday. Praise the Lord!
2. Savannah is getting to wear 'fall' clothes (since it's only like 93 now, not 103 degrees), like new shoes that I've had in her closet all spring and summer from either a consignment sale or Zulily (Toms are 14.99 there!).  Thursday she sported these adorable Toms and you might have noticed her red and white mary janes from yesterday's post too.  The girl loves her shoes.  She will go in her closet all on her own and want to try on every pair in her little basket of shoes.

3. We've had a big project going on this week getting a few things fixed the way we want/need them before Walker gets here.  We need a new place to close up the cats at night since Walker's room is the old guest bedroom so we had doors put on our dining room.  I know, not ideal, but they are just SO nocturnal and disturb my sleeping so they have always "gone to bed" in a closed room each night. We also got a new microwave installed and the cabinet replaced with a smaller one so the microwave isn't 12 inches from our stovetop.  Anyway the project is finished, thanks to Nana for coming to keep the house open for the workers so we could go to work!

4. We had another round of doctors appointments this week and Walker seems to be looking great and all is going well with him this week. (yes I know sometimes these pictures look like alien babies to some people but you're looking at part of his face and eyes, nose, and mouth.  Big double chin already and already some dark eyebrows! His hand is up by his other cheek. Such a cutie!)

5. It's Friday. Hallelujah. (did I already mention that?)
6. Savannah is practicing her big sister skills a lot.  (although someone should tell her there's only ONE baby coming thank goodness)

Happy Weekend!

Pictures, At Least!

I'm sorry to slack on blogging, I am trying to rest as much as possible.  My doctor on Monday pretty much tried to put me on bed rest but I said I would be really good and rest rest rest and she could see how I am at my next appointment.  Resting is hard work while you're trying to work and love on your baby girl and husband and kitties.  But I'm doing my best.  Anyway, here are some cute pictures of my baby girl who is so NOT a baby, but such a little girl these days.  Her legs are getting too skinny to be a baby anymore!

Life Update

Well we've had a lot going on the past week.  After the plague left, I thought we were in the clear but Tuesday night I started having some terrible stomach pains and back pains.  I was worried at first that it was labor but as the night progressed I could tell it was either my appendix or kidneys.  (or some other organ, for that matter)  I was up literally the whole night with the pains, walking around the house, crying, showering, you name it, I tried it.  Finally at 6 AM I told Birc we were going to have to go to the hospital.  He called his parents and Nana came over around 7:00 to keep Savannah and we headed to the hospital.  Turns out I had a really bad kidney infection and they thought I could have had kidney stones but could not see any on the ultrasound (can't do a CT scan on pregnant women).  ANYway, I spent two days in the hospital hooked up to IV antibiotics and the works, and came home with bed rest orders until my doctor's appointment Monday (today) late morning.  So if you're reading this say a little prayer that everything checks out fine at the doctor and I can go back to work and get back to normal.  I'd like to say a special thanks to everyone who came and helped take care of me, Savannah, and Birc and who visited me and checked on me in the hospital.  Special thanks to CC and Nana for getting Savannah completely taken care of.  I hope I never have to go back (except to have Walker)!

Here are the few pics I have!

(yes there are 4 lamps in the background.  We're in the process of redecorating our den and so everything is off the walls and not on tables where it should be right now. I'll show you end results.)

very interested in her book. She "reads" aloud to us every day it is so cute!

Savannah and Daddy made a fort.  Except she sounds like she is saying a very not nice word when she runs around the house screaming fort! fort! (let's just say she is mixing up her "t" with a "k")

she. was. so. excited.

I crawled in for some entertainment too.

blurry but you can see the fort this way.  and the empty walls soon to be filled with artwork and pictures.

my bed rest companion.  She's my favorite author and I loved this book as much as all the rest she's written!
We also had a great time having CC and Grandad and Nana and Gran over to watch the hog game since we couldn't go even though it was here.  Bed rest stinks.  Other than that I just literally stayed in bed or on the couch from Thursday night to Monday morning.  Here's to hoping this week is the best one we've had in a month!

A Late HB and the Plague and the Hogs and a day off

First off, we want to wish Maxwell a very happy THIRD birthday! We hope you had a great day and your party at the fire station was right up Savannah's alley! We wish we could have celebrated with you!

Second, the plague visited our house, y'all.  Savannah had three, count them three, different virus/infections in one week last week.  And every adult caring for her caught at least one too.  She had the stomach virus, croup, and a nasty cold/cough with a fever.  I got the stomach virus in the middle of the night Thursday and spent all day Friday in bed with a pretty painful feverish belly ache and headache.  Birc got a cold/sinus stuff, and CC got a nasty cold with sore throat too.  However, we think the plague has left the building, so let's all pray everyone we know and love can have a healthy week too so no one shares anything else.  It was literally a terrible week and one of the worst as a parent yet.  (from what I saw on FB and otherwise, it was sickness week across the country for many friends and family.  I hope all of you are well now!)

Third, the Hogs had their first football game on Saturday, so it was Birc's Christmas day basically with College Football kicking off.  He was in hog heaven (hehe...) and spent the whole day in front of the tv! Savannah and I played, and we went up to watch the Razorback game at CC and Grandad's house because (gasp!) our plan doesn't give us the channel the Hogs were playing on! It was seriously important to make it there in time and we barely pulled in the driveway and the game was starting.

Fourth, Happy Labor Day yesterday! We had a great day spending time together and getting LOTS of stuff checked on a long and never-ending to-do list BB (before baby).  We also got to go over to Nana and Gran's house which was a big excitement as they were out of town for over a week and Savannah thought they'd left forever!

PS: I took almost no pictures because of the plague so you'll just have to enjoy the few I did take.

Wooooo! Pig Sooie!

Razorbacks!!

Savannah loves to "hide" from her Daddy and this morning she was hiding in our bed and snuck this hilarious sneaky grin at me :) hehehe

I braided her hair for the first time! Adorable!
