[WARNING: long post with lots of pictures and stories!]
Welcome to our little 7 month photo shoot from July 6th!
| It started out kinda serious... |
| But then we started giggling |
| And it got really fun really fast! |
| Then we got out Panda... |
| ...and belly laughs started! |
| Savannah thought he needed his hand chewed |
| And he needed some sugar. (with a tight little grip on his neck!) |
| So to save Panda, we got back out Dumbo... |
| Things went much better... |
| Until we told her we wanted a few more smiles! |
| So Savannah said, "Ok, we're done. That's all I've got folks!" |
| Just for my memory, I took a pic of this little guy who wanted to be in on the photo shoot too! |
Savannah is fun fun fun these days. I think I said that in my last post but it is even more fun now to play with her. I went back through and watched some videos of when she was first born, and she has grown so much and learned so much since then! She is a little chatterbox most of the time and loves to hear the sound of her voice and her screeching teradactyl impression. She has no concept of an inside voice, and it seems when we're anywhere inside a closed space in public, she starts 'talking' loudly and doing her screeching. Birc and I just smile and wave :)
I have not weighed her this month, but I bet she's at least 17 pounds and probably grown a quarter of an inch or so. Her eczema is all gone and so is the bad poo, and I have added back in every food I had eliminated for her sake now! Hooray! She seems much healthier and happier this month than ever before. I think it's safe to say that her colic is totally gone and any crying fits she has are just normal 7 month old business! She's still not sleeping consistently through the night, but she does it about half the time. She's actually sleeping in her crib on her belly too! That's when she sleeps the best these days. But sometimes she doesn't want to go to sleep in her crib AT ALL and so we have to put her in the carseat so we can get some rest. When she doesn't want to sleep in her crib, she lets us know by getting on her belly and throwing her head back, all while in the crawling position and just looks around and starts crying and wailing until we come get her.
She's eating sweet potatoes really well, and she's tried green beans and carrots too with no luck. I'm planning to make some squash this weekend. She sits in her high chair and loves being up at the table! She is getting really excited about eating and wants everything we are eating. We've let her sample a few drops of things on our fingers and it is hilarous to see her expressions change as the taste hits her tongue! She eats once a day and has only breastmilk for the rest of the day. (well, except for the 1 ounce of prune juice daily to encourage her along!) Her bottles for daycare are 6 ounces and she usually finishes all of it. She still has no sign of teeth, even though her symptoms would tell us otherwise! She is drool-ey, chews on EVERYTHING, and is sometimes clingy and whiney. (maybe that's just a 7 month old?) She's still in a size 3 diaper and wears all 6, 6-9, and 6-12 month clothing! It just varies by brand. Birc and I think she had a growth spurt because her legs are looking skinnier to us, but maybe we're just used to the rolls :)
Savannah, we love you more and more each day and can't wait to see what the future holds for you! You can be sure you'll be loved whatever it is!
