Florida or bust!

Like I said, we went to Florida with Ann and Skip and had a great time! We would have had more beach time if not for Isaac visiting our neighboring states, but all we really had was wind and maybe an hour total of rain. We drove halfway and stayed in Hattiesburg the first night, because we just had no idea how Savannah would do in the car that long.  She did really well, considering, but she seems a bit scarred by the trip and now cries in her carseat every time for fear we'll keep her in another 6 hours straight! :)

We stopped in Jackson on the way and saw my aunt and uncle and cousin and his wife! Jana, Scoop, Graham, and Lesley, it was SUPER to see you and let Savannah roam around your house, Jana! I am so glad we got in a quick visit and my family got to see Savannah as she is growing!

 

Right when we got to our condo, we changed and got on the beach.  We didn't know how much sun, if any we would have in the coming days and when we arrived it was sunny and beautiful!

 

We spent the next few days just swimming in the pool to avoid the sandblasting wind on the beach, shopping around Destin, and piddling around the adorable Seaside and Watercolor communities.  We visited the Gulfarium and Savannah just loved it! She watched all the fishies and loved the dolphin show and the sea lion show.  It makes me even more excited to take her to Disney knowing how much she loved that.  :)

 

We had some GREAT dinners that I am already wishing I could have again, and we had a great beach day the last day we were there.  I'll leave you with a few (well...lots) of my favorites from the vacation! My mom made the adorable stacked gingham dress thats green, blue, orange, and pink especially for this trip!
