We had a great weekend and it was spent putting in an awesome swing set for Savannah in our backyard! We had Anna and Aaron and my parents over for the
morning day and had lots of yummy food, visiting, and the guys had a good time (I think, anyway!) working in the backyard. The finished product is just wonderful and Savannah loves it! The box said to allot 1 to 2 hours for the project. I figured if we doubled that we'd be good. Well. Multiply it times 5. It took about 10ish hours to complete! The swing set is really for her birthday but we wanted to get it built and in the ground now before it turns really cold and the ground gets frozen. I am so proud of Birc for building the whole thing with my dad and Aaron! Our friends Ben and Nicole and baby Caroline also came over for a while to lend a helping hand and visit! As for the rest of our weekend, we had lots of church activities going on on Sunday and spent a lot of time with Nana and Gran catching up with them as well. The bonus was we went on a little afternoon date to the movies! We love our weekends. :)

Somehow CC got away without getting her picture taken! Boo! Anyway, it was an exciting project and something I've been so excited about for weeks now. Very thankful to my family for helping! Love you guys!

How great! I bet those smiles and giggles made those 10 hours worth it. She looks very happy!
Yep - her reaction was absolutely priceless !! Those legs were going nonstop and the smiles may have been the biggest I've ever seen on her! Simply FUN extraordinaire !!
Birc did a great job building Savannah her swing set and slide. Amy's food was great and kept us energized. We only needed one trip to the hardware store, about an hour to decide on the best location for the playground, and 3 breaks for food and football watching. Aaron's ideas got us plumb, level and square and I provided the grandad advice when needed. CC, Anna, and Amy kept Savannah happy and updated on the progress. Ben provided much needed muscle as we moved the swing set into position. We had about 4 hours of building and a few hours of creating fun for the Morledge family! Savannah's smile made the day!!
