Wye Mountain

So, there's this "mountain" [not sure if it actually qualifies as a mountain?] in Arkansas. Wye Mountain.  I always thought it was like in the middle of NOWHERE and would take me at least an hour to drive to.  Well, turns out it is 24 minutes from my house and once a year the Wye United Methodist Church has a daffodil festival where there are literally thousands and thousands of flowers covering the hill beside the church.  It is free and you can go anytime and take pictures of your cute pets and children. Storms were blowing in for the next 24 hours, the sun was still shining, and I was off work for Spring Break.  So of course we drove over there at like 5:30 PM (Birc wasn't off work yet so he could not go. bummer.)  Here are our pictures! [all from my iPhone, sorry!]

I don't get the draw to this place but my niece and nephew sure do look cute with the daffodils. And the alligator outfit is clearly awesome.

Y'all look daffodil-icious in the quintessential spring setting in AR! Once Wye Mountain has started blooming, spring isn't far behind! Yay!
