Random Weekend-Ness

We had the best weekend around here! Not because of any particular plan or anything we did, but Savannah was just so pleasant and easy.  She's been throwing "fits" since just about the day she stopped being colicky, therefore pleasant and easy are not two words I would usually use to describe my sweetie.  Love her. But not a laid-back child. This weekend was a 180 degree difference for her! She and I had a mama-daughter shopping day on Saturday getting things for her and for the house and for baby brother, and she was SO good in the car, getting in and out a lot, sitting in the stroller, listening when I would ask her not to walk away from me in a store, just so well-behaved and generally excited to be out and about!  She took a great two hour nap on Saturday (usually it's around 1 or 1 1/2 hour nap) and just in general did not fuss about anything or have any crying fits or anything.  Sunday was the same way and we had lots going on at church, errands to run, dinner and visiting with Nana and Gran, and lots around the house in between. BUT, she woke up without screaming, went to sleep without any tears, didn't terrorize the kitties any, and so on and so on.  I am so proud of her! It made my whole weekend.  AND, in the midst of her wonderfulness, she was cutting her last two teeth she had to get in before her 2 year molars! She broke through both her bottom eye teeth (cuspids?) on Saturday and never made a peep about it.  Star child :)

I hope you had as good a weekend as we did.  I've got LOTS of pictures, so I'll share some today and some from Birc's phone tomorrow.

baby brother outfits from a local consignment store!

Savannah selfie

working out with Daddy.  (the treadmill is not actually ON, don't worry)

but she thinks it is!

at Red Lobster in a big girl booster for the first time!

DIY-ing just like CC and Grandad

Grandad will have to show me how to use this, I only like the popping sound it makes when I let it go!

Caddo sandwich! (you do see him in between us, right?)

My grown up girl!  She's getting so tall and little-girlish!

Note about our bottom drawer in the kitchen: It's Savannah's play drawer.  So if you ever actually need a spoon or spatula or whisk, you should wash it first.  I would bet she's licked it at least once.

At Nana and Gran's we saw a TURTLE!

She loved it but it went away...

So she waved bye bye tu-tle!
