Water Play

Today started out really good like most Mondays because it is water play day for Savannah first thing in the morning! I take her in her suit and swim diaper and they change her clothes after water play is over, and she was SO excited when I got out the swim suit this morning! She thought, I think, that she was going instead to Nana and Gran's country club pool because she kept talking about Nana and "swide" (slide) which their pool has.  So I told her it was water play day at school and she seemed disappointed but it was the only way I could get her out the door.  [we are having a pretty rough summer dealing with attachment, screaming fits happen every day at drop off and it is horrible.  some days I can't even get her out the door without crying anymore]

So I pulled up and noticed NO water play stuff outside which was a bad sign and come to find out, water play had been cancelled at the last minute and they didn't notify the parents. VBS is going on and they didn't want to have that going on at the same time.  I had one seriously disappointed girl.  I took her in and changed her clothes and she was saying, "wa-wa? wa-wa? ahh-tide??" it was pitiful.  So when we got home tonight, I decided we should have some water play in our backyard. We didn't have too much time until it was time for her to go to sleep after dinner and going out for ice cream, so I just set up this Dora sprinkler attachment I got at a resale shop and got her water toys out.  She had a ball!

Sorry a lot are blurry. She's a moving target and I was trying to avoid the swirling sprinkler when I had my phone out. :)
