We took a bunch of selfies...
saw my roomie and her husband for a double date night!
and had lots of good food!
We also managed to squeeze in two movies, sleeping late every day, going to the Pink Palace Museum, and just mosey around doing whatever we thought of. We stayed at the Madison downtown and it was really nice.
Of course, Savannah had no idea we were even gone. CC and Grandad kept her very busy having all sorts of fun and she cried when we left Sunday. She rode her motorcycle 'side-saddle'...
Had her first ice cream sandwich (I am thinking she only ate some of one...)
Went out to lunch with CC's friends...
Played with Granddaddy!
and served him tea several times...
Planted new plants in the front flowerbeds...
watered the new plants...
went swimming...
And so this was her about 5 minutes after we hit the road Sunday afternoon.
We had such a fun time just the two of us, but we could tell all weekend something (somebody!) was missing and could not WAIT to hug Savannah and squeeze her! Thanks so much CC and Grandad for keeping her loved on and entertained so we could have some time to eat slow meals and go to the movies (our two favorite things to do) before baby brother arrives! This was the longest I have ever been away from my baby and it was hard, but luckily Birc is my most favorite person to hang out with so I made it. :)

Glad you to a chance to get a little bit of away time and LOVED the time with Savannah, who was a perfectly sweet and agreeable house guest! Thanks, Anna, for taking care of the cats so that our attention wasn't divided. (And it WAS just part of the ice cream sandwich!)
