Birthday Wishes and First Day Recap

First off, I failed to wish Aunt Jen a happy birthday yesterday! In all the weekend busyness and getting ready for the first day, I blogged early and missed putting your birthday wishes on the blog! We hope you had a great day and hope to see you guys soon!

Second, whoever of you said a little prayer must have a direct line to the Man upstairs because Savannah had a fabulous first day in her new class with her new teacher and new friends.  This class has 6 kids in it, 2 new ones from the last class she was in.  She just walked right in and started playing and said "bye mama" and waved behind her back.  I of course stayed in for a few minutes for my own heart to see she was ok, and then snapped a quick picture with her new teacher, Ms. Edie, and then left! It went so well! Let's hope and pray tomorrow is just as great!  At my after-school program, we also couldn't have asked for a better first day! All my kiddos were so excited to come and I was thrilled to see them and hear about the first day.  It was so fun! I love my job, getting to see everyone's new school supplies, backpacks, first day outfits, new shoes (everyone gets new tennis shoes for back-to-school it seems) and hear about how the teachers are, who's in what class, and so on.  So Fun.

We are so excited to have Ms. Edie, who has been at Savannah's school longer than any other teacher, teaching Savannah's age group for over 24 years.  We are so lucky!
