So, Savannah had her yearly checkup on Tuesday at AR Children's Hospital for her hydronephrosis. It was really NOT FUN. We spent about 3 hours waiting and getting the tests done, ate a quick lunch and let SCM sleep in the car for 45 minutes, and then about 3 more hours of waiting and seeing the doctor. Her bladder reflux is unfortunately not any better on her right side, and it has actually returned on her left side. Huge BUMMER. Not to mention we did so much waiting, and Savannah was so brave, and the tests are NO FUN for Savannah, so I was really hoping and praying for good results at the end of the long day. She doesn't know that the results weren't good though, and she actually said, "That doctor was so nice!" when our doctor left, because he's the only medical personnel she saw that day that didn't touch her or poke her or something else. The whole day, though, she just kept crying and crying and asking to go home, and asking the nurses to go away, it was so sad. She had a VCUG, which involves a catheter being inserted for about 10 minutes. It was so sad, they put sandbags on her to keep her from moving too much, but also had 3 nurses plus Birc and me holding her down, and before that she had an ultrasound and they forgot to get all the images they needed so they had to do it twice. Yuck. Glad it is over for another year.
When we got home, Savannah got to watch her FROZEN DVD for the first time!! Anna got her the DVD a while back and we have been saving it for when she gets potty-trained, but Birc and I considered how brave she was and thought today would be a perfect day to let her open that and watch it. After that we went to eat with CC and Grandad and then I captured this adorable cuddling on our bed before bath time. (sorry they're dark) Savannah missed her brother and just kept "petting" his face. Adorable.

The brotherly adoration obviously helped. CC got a new hairdo from our brave girl and a "liddle" hug and kiss and smile before bedtime. Thank goodness that day is behind her!!
I'm so sorry things didn't go well. My heart aches for her. I hate all these tests for the little ones. Saying a prayer! Hope things improve soon.
That crying picture is so pitiful. :( But I know that whatever happens, there are great docs to take care of her and make sure she'll be healthy!
poor poor little pumpkin. hate that you didn't get better results but so thankful for good doctors that are staying on top of it.
