Valentine's Day + Weekend Review

We've had a busy few days around here.  Miss Savannah got ahold of a nasty fever virus on Wednesday that kept us out of commission, really, until Monday.  She's been fever-free since Saturday night sometime but we missed all church activities and Soup Sunday (an event with Anna's workplace that is super fun and tasty) today (Sunday) just to be on the safe side.  I'll try not to overload you with pictures and spread it out over a few days. [after finishing the post, sorry to say I did overload you with pictures.  sorry.]

Take-home art activity for Savannah's school.  Decorate the heart any way you choose!

Girl's got 100 degree temp but you can't tell!

Gran's tongue!

Bubbles! The cats love them as much as Savannah does.  It's hilarious :)

I'm gonna BITE them mama!

Savannah made her valentines for her classmates.  She's stamping them here.

work in progress

finished product! Savannah stamped the cupid and put the glued heart wherever she wanted! I did the cutting obviously and wrote the message after she did her thing.

Savannah's valentine basket! Target dollar aisle was great :)
Mille's sugar cookies for Savannah's valentine party on Thursday. Which she ended up missing since her fever returned with a vengeance.

cookies for her teachers, class party, and valentines for her friends and another class they exchanged with!

She got tons of valentine goodies! A chicken from Nana and Gran (there's a story behind the beloved chicken), a puzzle and the adorable homemade dress from CC and Grandad, and the basket of goodies from Birc and me.

Valentine morning she was doing great, no fever, and happy as a clam opening her goodies.  She loved the soccer ball of course.

As I said earlier, Savannah got a terrible fever that returned while she was at school so all our Valentine plans went out the window.  We ended up grabbing a quick burger at MooYah.  Happy Valentine's Day to us!

How we spent the rest of the weekend.

Poor baby.
You know even though I hate for Savannah to be sick and could not wait for her to be better, all the cuddles and snuggles were so wonderful.  My normally tornado-esque busy girl actually sat on my lap for more than 2 minutes, hugged me, cuddled for hours, and just wanted to be on me or held by me all the time.  I loved that part of it but hated every other part since she felt so badly.

A heart-filled post but we all wish she had felt better.
